My name is Michael. I live in the Midwest (Indiana to be more precise.) I’m a 60+ senior with a lot of passions. Number one, I’m a geek! I’m deeply into science fiction (movies, books, TV shows), computers and comics (movies, books, TV shows.
I’m also very interested in science like astronomy, physics and mathematics. My college degree is in Math.
Politically, I’m very liberal. In the first presidential election in which I was qualified to vote, I voted for Ronald Reagan. It wasn’t long before I regretted that vote. In subsequent elections, I’ve voted for candidates in the Democratic Party. I’ve been trying to atone for my mis-judgement in that first election.
If you’re wondering about the name of this website and the domain name, it goes back to the time when, in high school and college, I played Dungeons and Dragons. Of course, D&D takes place in a fantasy setting, but I often imagined what it would be like if my favorite character, a Dwarven fighter were transported into a science-fiction setting. If there were a comic book about it, I might call the character “The Atomic Dwarf”.
So, when years later, I decided to register my very own domain name on the web, I thought of that. Hence the site. I’ve had this domain for over twenty years now.
